Víctor Guillermo Toro Vega's partner, the artist's name, told the newspaper that the musician was admitted to the Montefiore Medical Center hospital after learning that he had been diagnosed with cancer.
"Last week, he started complaining that he felt bad, was holding water and after several tests he was given the news that he had cancer," said Minerva Toro.
